Noche de Ofrenda will expand its reach to include families and individuals from all over Los Angeles County at Grand Park's beautiful and easily accessible space located in Downtown Los Angeles. The program for the evening will include an opening prayer and closing with Danza (Kalpulli Tlaltekutli) along with theatrical (Casa 0101's teen theatre group), poetic and musical performances.

S.O.Y. Artista (Summer of Youth Artist Program) is a five-week summer art-training workshop for local youths ages 12 to 18 that is provided free of charge. S.O.Y. Artista serves high school students with a critical need for summer programming while providing positive and alternative models for creativity in an environment that is nurturing and reflective of their lives and culture.

REFLEJOS Y REGALOS DE EAST LOS:
A Photobooth and Site Specific Art Project





As a part of it's 40th Anniversary, Self Help Graphics & Art and photographer, Rafael Cardenas, created three community photomurals using the means of site-specific pop-up photobooths. Reflejos y Regalos de East Los captures the Boyle Heights/East Los Angeles community through impromptu portraits of current community members and the creation of specific public installations at each of the locations. Reflejos y Regalos de East Los encourages community participation in art and strengthens the ties of the East Side community, while reflecting our relationship to one another and our community in new ways.
