Self Help Graphics & Art (SHG) is alive and flourishing. !Aquí estamos y no nos vamos! Thank you for your support and belief in Self Help Graphics & Art-it just keeps getting better and better. Three years ago SHG embarked upon an incredible journey to resurrect itself. It has witnessed tremendous highs and incredible triumphs. Because of the tireless efforts of artists, volunteers and board members, SHG is now looking forward to its 40th Anniversary con fuerza y corázon.

SHG continues to nurture our emerging artists, and offers iconic and free events like its annual Dia de los Muertos celebration to over 7,000 people. SHG engages over 350 youth each year by providing quality art instruction and culturally relevant activities. SHG cannot do all of this without the support of its artists and people who believe that art has value in our community's health and well being-people like you

If, like many others, you think that the arts are a luxury or indulgence in our current economic climate, having no real impact on the lives of our youth and families-think again. According to studies, students who engage in the arts are: 4 times more likely to participate in a math and science fair and 3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance.

Help SHG continue to impact the lives of our emerging artists by making a donation today. Any amount makes a real difference, but $500, $1,000 or $1,500 will strengthen SHG's printmaking programs for adults and youth. Your donation will count towards a 3:1 matching challenge that Self Help Graphics & Art has received from a very generous donor. For every $3.00 SHG raises, the donor will give $1.00. With your help SHG can make its goal for the end of the year by raising $25,000.
