We are thrilled to announce that Self Help Graphics & Art will be featured in the debut episode of the PBS show, Art Happens Here with John Lithgow, airing Friday, April 26 at 10PM PST/ 9PM Central. The show explores dance, ceramics, silkscreen printing, and vocal jazz alongside some fantastic young mentors! In this debut episode, Self Help Graphics youth artist, Yolitzli Torres and our Master Printer, Dewey Tafoya welcome John to Boyle Heights and our print studio to make some magic!

Battle of the Saints, on view at the Long Beach City College Art Gallery, highlights everyday icons worshiped across cultures. Join us for the closing reception on Saturday, April 27 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.; coupled with a panel discussion from 2:15 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

The Re-Membering Generation: 1990's LA Chicana/o/x Music exhibition, on view through June 8, 2024 at at Plaza de la Raza’s Boathouse Gallery, is a multidisciplinary exploration that documents SHG's vibrant music scene and history in the 1990s.

Curated by Grammy award-winning musician/community historian Quetzal Flores, the exhibition pairs eight duets (a visual artist with a musician) to produce original songs and serigraph prints inspired by their conversations, reflections, and memories of the LA music scene of the late 90s.
