DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION & EXHIBITION AT SHG
NOVEMBER 2, 4:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.
Since 1973, Self Help Graphics & Art has produced one of the most renown Día de los Muertos cultural events in Los Angeles — noted as one of the oldest Day of the Dead public commemorations in the nation! Our unique program provides the community with a season of activities throughout the Fall that include workshops, a night of altars, an exhibition and much more! All events are free, all ages and take place at SHG, unless otherwise noted.
Join us in celebrating our 46th Annual Día de los Muertos celebration, Saturday November 2, 2019. You are invited to participate in the oldest Día de los Muertos celebration in the county, rooted in community, tradition and art-making. This year’s celebration is coming back home to our community art center, located in Boyle Heights. We are collaborating with Senator Maria Elena Durazo, Assemblymember Miguel Santiago, Supervisor Hilda Solis, Council District 14 and the Boyle Heights Community Market to create and Eastside Día de los Muertos block party for the City of Los Angeles.
