Panel Discussion: Works at the Print Center in “America Today”

In conjunction with the exhibition America Today: Voices in Contemporary Print, its curator Lauren Rosenblum will moderate a conversation featuring participating artists from Self Help Graphics & Art: Consuelo Flores, Alvaro Marquez, and Lead Printer, Dewey Tafoya. Together, they will discuss their featured works in the exhibition at The Print Center in Philadelphia and explore how printmaking can address issues of civic life and how their prints engage with the social and political forces shaping the nation today.

HOW TO GET THERE:

The Los Angeles Public Library does not own or operate public parking facilities in the vicinity of the Central Library. We recommend you park in the Westlawn garage, located at 524 South Flower Street, Los Angeles. Their parking validation rate is $1 anytime after 3 PM until the Library’s closing at 8 PM. You must get your parking validated at the Library with a Los Angeles Public Library card to get this rate.

To get there via public transportation, the most convenient Metro Rail station is Pershing Square Station, served by the B Line (Red) and D Line (Purple).
