Self Help Graphics' Holiday Marketplace at Art Share L.A.

Our annual Holiday Marketplace returns on Saturday, December 2 from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with some of LA’s finest cultural artists and artisans, specializing in unique gifts for the holidays! Our Holiday Marketplace is one of our favorite pop-ups of the year to shop, and eat delicious food prepared by a local street food vendor; sprinkled with cultural fun holiday vibes at Art Share L.A.! Register here.

Shop for art, high-quality handmade goods, crafts, and decor from local artisans, designers, and artists. Plus, take advantage of special pricing on select fine prints with proceeds benefiting our organization! When you shop at our Holiday Marketplace, you support independent makers and invest in the community.

The Holiday Marketplace will be held at Art Share L.A. Art Share is located at 801 E 4th Pl Los Angeles, CA 90013. Street and lot parking near Art Share LA is limited. We strongly encourage the use of ride-sharing services, public transit, or cycling. We recommend Best Auto Park in the Little Tokyo Galleria. RideShare Drop-off and Pick-up location is 801 E 4th Place, Los Angeles, CA 90013.

49th Annual Día de los Muertos Celebration

Self Help Graphics & Art is excited to invite you to our 49th Annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration!

Our 49th Annual Día de los Muertos Exhibition and Celebration, returns Saturday, November 5 from 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Self Help Graphics & Art. The public is encouraged to dress up in their favorite Día de los Muertos fashion and take part in a festive walking Procession led by local Aztec dancers, at 4:00 p.m. (meet up at 3:30 p.m.), from Mariachi Plaza to Self Help Graphics.

Self Help Graphics’ 49th Annual Celebration will feature DJs VFRESH and LABellatini, with live performances by Brainstory, La Mera Candelaria, and Spaghetti Cambia, curated by The Paramount. Shop the Muertos Market curated with local artisans and artists, view the exhibition Canciones de Ti and the numerous altars, and be nourished by the flavors of our community with food by local street vendors.

G etting here: Limited street parking will be available, so the public is encouraged to carpool. SHG is located directly across the street from the Metro L Line (formerly Gold Line) Pico/Aliso station, between Little Tokyo and Mariachi Plaza.

Masks are highly recommended, but not required for entry.

Holiday Marketplace

Save the date! Holiday Marketplace returns Saturday, December 11.

Join us for our annual holiday marketplace taking place Saturday, December 11th from 12PM - 7PM at Self Help Graphics & Art! Come do some holiday shopping with a curated selection of high-quality crafts, food, and fine art from local vendors and artists, as well as prints from SHG’s own serigraph collection.

Programming for the day includes drop in family workshops as well as delicious food, drinks, and desserts from our partners from Vendedores en Accion!

Please note: In accordance with City of Los Angeles municipal code, Self Help Graphics will need to verify proof of vaccination for people visiting the site 12 years of age or older, or a negative covid test taken within 72 hours of being onsite. All people 18 years of age and older will have to show identification as well. Thank you for working with us to ensure the health and safety of all visitors and that we're in compliance with the City of Los Angeles ordinance. People who do not show either proof of vaccination or a negative covid test will unfortunately be turned away.

About: ARTrepreneurs is a project by Self Help Graphics & Arts presenting a series of workshops designed for artists and artisans to learn the basics of starting and running a business. Specifically created for independent artists and small businesses this workshop series will also include mercadito/marketplaces that will be held throughout the year. The workshops and mercadito/marketplaces will give entrepreneurs practical experience and space to implement new tactics during the course of the program. Our goal is to build artist capacity and provide opportunities for our local creative economy to thrive.

The series consists of six marketplaces and six workshops ranging from money management, social media, marketing, and more led by professionals and community experts in the field.

Though the workshops will be open to all, a cohort of individuals/businesses who commit to attend the full workshop series will receive a certificate of completion and will be featured during the mercaditos through artist demonstrations that invite the community to interact with their work.

This series is supported in part by the California Arts Council’s Creative California Communities (CCC) program.
